Professional Experience

Principal with Packer Thomas, a regional accounting firm with over 50 people employed and offices in Youngstown, Ohio, and New Castle, Pennsylvania (April 1993–present).

President of Packer Thomas (1996–2008).

Ernst & Young, an international professional services firm (1972–April 1993); a partner for 8 years. Certified Public Accountant in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Certified Financial Services Auditor.

Broad-based industry professional with over 35 years experience.

Consultant to entities on acquisition strategies, acquisition audits, accounting methods, transaction structuring and evaluation of merger candidates.

Diverse industry experience in colleges and universities, hospitals, manufacturing, banking, and credit unions.

Experience in SEC reporting, registrations, mergers, acquisitions, and international operations.

Community Leadership

Forum Health: Board of Trustees (2000–present); Chairman (2008–present); Vice Chairman (2004–2008); Finance Committee Chairman (2004–2008); Compliance and Audit Committee Chairman (2002–2004); continue to serve on Executive, Finance, Compliance and Audit, and Investment Committees. Forum is a multi-hospital system with annual revenues of $500 million.

Grow Mahoning Valley: Chairman (April 2003–present). Grow Mahoning Valley is a public/ private / labor organization that prioritizes infrastructure projects over a three county area.

Youngstown State University Williamson School of Business: Business Advisory Council (1982-1985); Business Advisory Council Chairman (2004–present).

Community Foundation of Mahoning Valley: Board of Trustees (2008–present).

Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce: Board of Trustees (1993–2003); Vice Chairman (1997–1998); Chairman (1999–2000).
